Little things

The little ones who share my home, they play, they giggle, they shout, they grow.
I must remember their little things.
Their little games, their little wonder, their little fun, their little laughter.
I must write down these little things.
Must photograph these little things.
Can't forget these little things.
Their little toys, their little clothes, their little beds, their little chairs.
Please stick around, these little things.
Don't go too soon, these little things.
Their little ears, their little noses.
Their little feet, their little toeses.
Little stories. Little songs.
Little sighs and little tears
Their little hugs. Their little kisses.
Ooh I love these little things.
Very precious little things.
Please stay forever little things.

Teacher

Olivia's future profession changes almost daily. Here's a snippet of our conversation today on the way to school:

O: Mama, when I grow up, I want to be a TEACHER

A: Oh, really?

O: I will have 11 slides in my playground and lots of swings.

A: What a fun playground that would be!

O: It will be REALLY fun.

A: What will you teach your students?

O: About cats...and owls.

A: Interesting. What will you have up on your walls?

O: Maps and things. And so many fun projects.

M: Oh, gosh. Who will help you teach?

O: Oh. That would have to be someone really good. (Thinking and mumbling) Hmmmmm, maybe Yaya or Brighton or Tessa....

M: Sure.

O: I know, Mom! Ah-lee-chay! (Alice, her Italian playmate) Ah-lee-chay can teach with me!

M: Good choice! Will Alice help teach Italian?

O: Oh, yes. And on Halloween, we can have a party. It would be so FUN.

Pumpkin Patch

Out on an afternoon errand, we passed by our humble neighborhood pumpkin patch, Ray's, on Solano Avenue. How could we resist? We promptly made a u-turn. Olivia's and Lili's first pumpkin patch visit of the season, they squealed for joy and scrambled to their respective wagons!

Yay, no cavities!

Olivia visited Dr. Lopez today for the first time for teeth cleaning. There were no cavities to report. Hooray! Sunglasses compliments of Dr. Lopez.

A Little Flower Girl

Hello there! This photo is from a post at the Bellz and Whistlez blog. Olivia was a flower girl at Auntie Christy's and Uncle Francis' wedding, when she was barely two years old. Thanks for sharing, Auntie Cyril!

UP to Something GREAT

"UP" opens this weekend in theaters---if you haven't seen it already, you are in for a treat. And if you just can't get enough, read about it and listen to Pete's and Ricky's audio commentary here. See a real life "Carl House," here, too.
